Foreign media allegations to topple Najib

[get_post_meta single=1 key="byline"] | April 24, 2009 1 Comment

MALACCA, 24 April 2009: Information, Communications and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim said that the allegations by the foreign media against the new leadership of Datuk Seri Najib Razak were a grand design to topple the prime minister.

He said this was not something new because the foreign media had used the same tactic, and failed, during the time when Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad helmed the country.

The foreign media would use various terminologies relating to the prime minister’s character to give the impression that he was unacceptable (to certain parties, he told reporters after a tahlil prayer for the late Tun Abdul Ghafar Baba, at Masjid An-Nur in Peringgit here last night.

The function organised by the National Archives to commemorate the third death anniversary of the former deputy prime minister was attended by Yang Dipertua Negeri Malacca Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob and Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam.

Rais was asked to comment on Mahathir’s statement that there was a continuous and concerted effort by the foreign media to put Najib in bad light as prime minister.

Rais also challenged former law minister Datuk Zaid Ibrahim, who was often quoted in the foreign media running down Najib, to a public debate if the latter believed the allegations against the prime minister were true. — Bernama

Rais and the foreign media plot.

When will it be a cosmopolitan Jewish conspiracy or a UFO-led attempt to invade Malaysia?

Just like in a murder trial we all know about, what exactly would the motive be? How comes this kind of comment is only coming out in Bolehland?
