Landslide victims still missing

MIRI, 16 Jan 2009: Two petrol station workers are missing following a landslide that hit their workplace here early this morning.

A search and rescue operation began at 6.30am but up till 10am, they were yet to be found.

The workers are only known as Endi, 28, an Indonesian, and one Ah Chiang, 22.

It is understood that the incident happened at 2am and disrupted electricity supply to several villages for a few hours.

The petrol station, located near the hill slope of Bukit Kanada here, has been operating for the last 20 years. — Bernama
