KUALA KRAI, 23 June 2009: Umno Youth will organise a three-day “into the village” programme from Thursday to bring Manik Urai youths closer to the party.
Kelantan Umno Youth executive secretary Mohamad Zaidan Abdul Rahim said Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin would lead the programme which would see participation from all Umno Youth executive council members and state Umno Youth chiefs and vice-chiefs.
“Among the programmes are friendly games, motorcycle repair workshops as well as house-to-house visits to listen to the people’s problems,” he told Bernama after meeting villagers here last night.
The nomination for the Manik Urai state by-election is on 6 July while polling is on 14 July.
The seat fell vacant following the death of incumbent assemblyperson, Ismail Yaacob of PAS, on 22 May.
