Father and daughter brutally killed

March 18, 2009

SEREMBAN, 18 March 2009: A 52-year-old chicken livestock wholesaler and his 23-year old daughter were brutally murdered in their Taman Tunku Ampuan Najihah home in Sungai Gadut near here today.

Negeri Sembilan deputy police chief, Datuk Abd Manan Mhd Hassan, said police got a call at about 12.40pm about the discovery of the bodies.

“The bodies of M Doraisamy, and his second daughter, Kasturi, were found drenched in blood in separate rooms of the house. Besides signs of slashes on their bodies, the right hand and neck of Doraisamy was almost severed and Kasturi’s head was hacked and two fingers of her right hand were almost severed,” Abd Manan said when met at the scene.

He said initial investigation revealed that the motive for the murders was jealously. Kasturi, a clerk at a factory in Senawang was to have been married this Saturday.

“We believe the victims knew the suspects. We are investigating under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. We are trying to get additional information from family members and others known to them,” he said.

Abd Manan urged people with information to contact the Seremban district police headquarters at 06-6033222 or call the nearest police station. — Bernama
