The message of Deepavali for Malaysia Corrected on 28 Oct 2008 at 12.45pm

We had mistakenly put up a photo and identified the person in it as Toh Puan Umasundari Sambanthan. The photo has been replaced with the correct one.

We apologise for the mistake. TNG favicon

Deconstructing the social contract Corrected on 24 Oct 2008 at 2.45am

We inaccurately identified academician Dr Mavis Puthucheary as an associate senior fellow at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia’s Institute of Malaysian and International Studies.

In a comment on our site, she has pointed out that she is no longer associated with the institute.

We also accidentally attributed a comment made by Universiti Teknologi Mara’s law professor Dr Shad Saleem Faruqi to lawyer Shaikh Saleem.

We apologise for the errors. TNG favicon

Protecting residents’ goldmine Corrected on 20 Oct 2008 at 10pm

The author erred in naming three condominiums in this original paragraph: “Thus far, the MBPJ has ordered extraordinary general meetings to re-elect the management committee for three condominiums – Armanee Condominium, Shang Villa Condominium and Amcorp Trade Centre.”

The author realises that it was wrong to name these three condos, which MBPJ ordered to have EGMs, within the context of his column. This is because the reasons they were asked to have an EGM were not because they had developer proxies within their management committees.

We regret the error. TNG favicon

Technopreneurship for social change Corrected on 9 Oct 2008 at 7pm

The lead photo caption should read Gerai Orang Asal and not Orang Asli as reported earlier, and the field partner that Elevyn works with is Soning Craft and not Sinompuru.

We apologise for the errors.

Due to a mix-up in the information on the seeds, the seed that is used to ward off evil is igiu only, and not igiu and talantang as published earlier.

Don’t let darkness prevail Corrected on 9 Oct 2008 at 6.40pm

The price for Kee Thuan Chye’s book, March 8: The Day Malaysia Woke Up published by Marshall Cavendish should be RM39.90 and not as published.

We apologise for the error.
