Chua Soi Lek

By The Nut Graph team

May 4, 2009

WE’RE starting a new section today. Inspired by Ernest Hemingway‘s genius, the Six Words On… section challenges readers to give us their comments about a current issue, contemporary personality or significant event in just six words.

The idea behind the section is to get readers engaged in an issue that The Nut Graph identifies, while having fun and being creatively disciplined — being concise is harder than ranting out a 1,000-word comment.

We’re kicking off the section with six words on MCA deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek since he’s such a lightning rod for brickbats and bouquets.

To contribute, send in your six-word comment in the comments section below. Each comment must be exactly six words long. No shorter nor longer. It can be in either English or Malay or both. All comments will be moderated as per our comments policy.

To start the ball rolling on our inaugural Six Words On…, the collective wit of The Nut Graph has produced these gems on Chua.

Cindy Tham:

Time to quit the no-role job!

Caught between rock and hard place.

Gan Pei Ling:

Unwanted in MCA/BN? Jom masuk PR!

Jacqueline Ann Surin:

MCA leader with no political twilight.

Shanon Shah:

Won the race. Losing the game?

Won big. Got screwed. Now what?

One lousy video. Still paying big.

Video killed the rising MCA star.

Pemimpin tenang jangan disangka tiada sengat.

Zedeck Siew:

Hotel room sex vid? Link please!

Join the fun. Give us your six words on Chua.

The Nut Graph has fun working.
