Water cuts for erring consumers

KUALA LUMPUR, 13 Jan 2009: Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) is disconnecting the water supply of consumers in the Petaling district of Selangor who have run up arrears in their bills.

Syabas corporate communications and public affairs general manager Abdul Halem Mat Som today advised these consumers to pay up immediately to avert disconnection.

Once supply is disconnected, the consumer would have to pay RM50 for the disconnection and reconnection, he said.

He said consumers could surf or call 1-800-88-5252 toll-free or send an SMS to 39222 for more information. — Bernama
