At the UMP campus, Vice-Chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Daing Nasir Ibrahim launched “Tabung Air Matamu Palestin” (Your Palestinian Tears Fund). “Allah bless most Islamic countries with untold wealth and this is our strength.

“Perhaps we do not have the capacity to fight in a war but the money and belongings we have can be donated to our brethren in Palestine to lighten their sufferings,” he said.

The students also carried banners and chanted “Long live Palestine!” and  “Destroy Jews!”.

At the Kuantan IIUM campus, former student leader Ahmad Fakhrurrazi Yahya said four resolutions had been reached against the Israeli offensive in Palestine.

“The first resolution, the IIUM students will boycott all products from United States to cripple the economy of the super power and Israel besides channelling financial aid and goods to Palestine,” he said.
