KUALA LUMPUR, 27 March 2009: The Umno general assembly continues today with the main agenda being the debate on the motion of thanks for the presidential policy speech, and the motions on economy, education and religion.
Twelve delegates will participate in the debate which began at 8.30am on the presidential policy speech. The debate would be a continuation of the session which was adjourned yesterday.
The motion on the economy will be tabled by Bera delegate, Amiruddin Mohd Said, for debate by eight delegates while the motion on education and religion will be tabled by Parit delegate Mohd Nizar Zakaria.
The debate is expected to continue until tonight before the winding up by the supreme council members on the last day of the assembly tomorrow. — Bernama
