re-al-po-li-tik noun: Political realism or practical politics, esp. policy based on power rather than on ideals [source: Dictionary.com].
The Realpolitiker segment of our columns is a space for party members and current and former elected representatives to talk about the real politics of being a Malaysian politician. We are working towards having a vibrant and balanced roster of columnists from the Barisan Nasional, the Pakatan Rakyat, and even the independent wakil rakyat. In this way, we hope to contribute towards a higher level of political debate that will help strengthen the ideals of a democratic Malaysia.
If you are or were an elected people's representative (either at Federal or state level) or a politician (either active or retired) and would like to write a column for us, get in touch with our Columns and Comments Editor, Shanon Shah (shanonshah@thenutgraph.com). ![]()
