IPOH, 23 Oct 2009: The police today advised all quarters, especially party supporters, not to create a commotion during the Perak state assembly sitting, scheduled for Wednesday, 28 Oct 2009.

Perak police chief Datuk Zulkefli Abdullah also urged assemblypersons not to create tension which might lead to untoward incidents.

“Action will be taken against those who cause any commotion outside the Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan,” he told reporters after visiting the Greentown Business Centre here today.

The state assembly sitting is scheduled to begin at 10am for the tabling of the state budget 2010.

In another development, Zulkefli said the police had received six reports against embattled state assembly Speaker V Sivakumar for refusing to return the Speaker’s robe as requested by the state secretary’s office. — Bernama
