Permatang Pauh: In full swing

THE campaigning for the Permatang Pauh parliamentary by-election is in full swing, with the ceramahs organised by Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) pulling in the crowds. PKR advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is facing Barisan Nasional (BN)’s Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah and Angkatan Keadilan Insan Malaysia (Akim) president Hanafi Hamat on 26 Aug 2008. BN deputy chairman Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak has been making almost daily trips to galvanise the BN election machinery, while Hanafi has yet to make his presence felt.
