Guan Eng: Fairus still my deputy

KUALA LUMPUR, 19 March 2009: Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng today denied intense speculation that Mohammad Fairus Khairuddin had resigned as deputy chief minister, according to Malaysian Insider.

Speculation about Fairus’ resignation began to surface yesterday when an anonymous text message was circulated saying that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had called for Fairus to step down over allegations of abuse of power.
